Custom Shock Bushings Manufacturer & Supplier
Engineered for precise damping control. Whether you need high-articulation off-road compliance or rigid track-day response, we build to your load cases.
Validate Your Design
Performance Validation
A shock bushing is not just a spacer; it is a critical member of the suspension linkage. We validate our custom designs against three primary stress vectors.
Compression
Handling vertical damping loads without permanent deformation (compression set) or splitting.
Rotation
Ensuring the bushing allows eyelet rotation during suspension travel without binding or tearing.
Misalignment
Conical or spherical geometry options to accommodate off-axis articulation angles.
Engineering Specification Inputs
| Parameter | Standard Option | Performance Option |
|---|---|---|
| Material | Polyurethane (Red/Black) | Custom Formulation (Self-Lubricating) |
| Hardness (Shore A) | 80A (Street/Comfort) | 95A (Track/Heavy Load) |
| Crush Tube (Sleeve) | Zinc Plated Steel | 304 Stainless Steel / Hardened 4140 |
| Design Style | Straight Wall / Top Hat | Hourglass / Spherical Bonded |
| Tolerance (Machined) | +/- 0.005″ | +/- 0.001″ (Bearing Fit) |
Note: We recommend providing shock eyelet ID and mounting bolt OD for accurate fitment.
NVH & Durability
Noise, Vibration, and Harshness (NVH) are the enemies of a good ride. Poorly designed bushings transmit road noise directly to the chassis.
- Knurled ID: We can knurl the inner bore of the polyurethane to retain grease and prevent the “squeak” associated with dry friction.
- Bonding: For extreme durability, we can chemically bond the urethane to the inner metal sleeve, preventing separation under heavy load.
Optimized for Your Load Case
Off-Road 4×4
High articulation required. We recommend softer (75A-80A) hourglass shapes to prevent binding at full droop.
Circuit Racing
Precision required. Harder (90A-95A) straight walls or bonded spherical bearings for direct feedback.
Heavy Industrial
Load capacity focus. Thick-walled bushings with hardened steel sleeves for hydraulic rams.
Vintage Restoration
Aesthetics focus. Black matte finish polyurethane to mimic OEM rubber look with modern durability.

Technical FAQ
Can you replace rubber with poly?
Yes, polyurethane offers 3x longer life and better chemical resistance than standard rubber.
Do I need to grease these bushings?
Yes, we recommend a water-resistant silicone or marine grease during installation to prevent squeaks.
What information do you need for a quote?
Shock eye diameter, mounting bolt diameter, width of the eye, and desired hardness.
Can you machine the inner sleeve from stainless?
Yes, 304 or 316 stainless is excellent for preventing the bolt from seizing inside the sleeve.
How tight should the fit be?
Typically a 0.010″ – 0.020″ interference fit is used for the bushing OD into the shock eye.
Do you make 2-piece bushings?
Yes, “Top Hat” style 2-piece bushings are easier to install and very common.
Lead time?
Machined sleeves: 2 weeks. Custom molded poly: 3-4 weeks (tooling dependent).
Do you sell individual units?
We are a B2B manufacturer. We typically require a minimum order value or quantity.
Need Custom Geometry?
Send us your shock absorber dimensions or existing worn bushing for reverse engineering.
